Latest Enhancements to Collection Engine allows local users to conduct their own data collection
Cataphora Inc., an industry-leading provider of software for review and analysis of electronic data, has announced the immediate availability of the Cataphora Collection Engine version 1.4, which introduces further flexibility and control by offering clients a choice in how they conduct legally sound and defensible collection of electronic data from IT systems.
The Cataphora Collection Engine (CCE) is designed for safe, secure, and efficient operation without disruption of standard business operations. CCE 1.4, the latest version of CCE, offers clients the option of having Cataphora experts conduct the collection on-site, or of collecting the data themselves using a powerful yet accessible tool, and sending the data to Cataphora for processing. The software is easy to use, so local personnel can be readily trained to run the collection, saving the cost of sending a specialist operator to the customer site where collection may be required. The Microsoft-Windows-based product can collect data from any Windows system. CCE 1.4 features a simple user interface, but also comes with a thorough manual for users who want fuller background information.
CCE includes both a network spider and an application that allows optional direct media connection. It can generate logs and reports, as well as a full audit trail to document and verify every step of the collection process. CCE is designed to meet an organization’s business and legal needs through legally defensible completeness and precision of data collection with an unassailable audit trail and no risk of spoliation.
