Philip Carruthers to Lead Company’s Global Sales Efforts
Cataphora today welcomed Mr. Philip Carruthers to the company. Carruthers has joined Cataphora as Vice President of Global Sales effective immediately.
Carruthers is a senior sales leader with more than twenty-five years’ experience in delivering high-value technology solutions in a variety of areas including cybersecurity, networking, and telecommunication for customers in both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Cataphora, Carruthers worked in sales management roles for companies such as Alcatel-Lucent, Compaq Computer, and EMC, amongst others. Most recently, Carruthers led the federal sales team at Tachyon Networks.
“Cataphora has a tremendous opportunity to help a wide range of industries capitalize on their digital assets and mitigate their liabilities owing to a mature technology base that understands the nuances that separate opportunity and risk,” according to Carruthers. “It’s exciting to join a company that’s not afraid to tackle the most pressing challenges that face today’s enterprises and governments.”
Cataphora’s innovative technology has been working behind the scenes to analyze and assess the implications of electronic communications for large enterprises and government institutions. As communication options have expanded to include email, IM, social media, video, geo-location information, and more, businesses have come to understand the economic and business implications of owning large data sets. Cataphora’s patented software reconstructs data and information in context and makes it available so it can be monitored and investigated. Most importantly, the technology models human behavior and interactions with the data and identifies patterns, anomalies, and opportunities.
“Especially with so much more data available now than ever before, it is incumbent on businesses and governments to derive value and identify risk by performing the type of digital archeology that we can provide,” according to Elizabeth Charnock, CEO of Cataphora. “And Philip is the ideal person to help us articulate Cataphora’s value to large public and private organizations.”
Philip has a degree in Finance from the University of Maryland and has completed the Executive Leadership Program at Babson College.
