Our unique approach to behavioral modeling encompasses the entire organization so that you can monitor how a specific actor or set of actors behaves towards a particular process, individual, or social network and ultimately, direct your attention to any potentially damaging behavior immediately.
For example, if a strategically important procedure in the normal recruiting process is being bypassed, our solutions allow you locate it and investigate further as to why this is happening and how it is happening. For example, Cataphora’s Informal vs. Formal Work Flow analytic (shown below) allows you to visualize a set of steps for a particular workflow within an organization.
Our technology does this by first modeling a “normal” workflow process, in this case as it relates to hiring, and then showing any deviations from normal behavior; this analytic is designed to show deviations from the “normal” steps in the workflow process (listed on the right side) as well as how a particular person’s behavior differs with that of his or her colleagues (actors are listed on the bottom). Any deviations from normal behavior are flagged as abnormal or strange, so you can then examine this particular abnormality in more detail to see if it is a true threat to the organization.
In the scenario illustrated in the analytic shown above, George Lui avoids both Step 3, the Initial Recommendation, and Step 4, the Management Interview. These missing process steps may indicate that the normal process was circumvented – is there a discriminatory pattern to these instances? This might be worth investigating further.
Although all abnormal behavior may not be bad, virtually all really bad behavior is abnormal.
