Analysis of Social Networks
Cataphora has extensive technology within the field of social-network analysis, allowing us to understand both local and global properties of networks.
While this is often applied for understanding corporations and other “closed ecosystems” (see Actor role analysis), the same technology is quite useful for understanding social networks in the Web 2.0 sense of the term. Within an online community:
- Who are the opinion leaders?
- Who are the outcasts?
- How do users self-organize to distribute content with like-minded individuals?
- Which sites influence which other sites?
The same technology we use to understand employees within a business unit allows us to answer questions such as these.
